3. What is the fee structure?

Program fee: Rs.5.94 lakhs, including service tax for the two-year program. This is the total fee payable.

5. What is not included in the total fee of Rs.5.94 lakhs?

Travel costs, boarding and lodging costs are not included.
 
6. Do you have a hostel?

Separate off campus hostel for boys and girls.
 
7. What are the eligibility criteria to apply?

The student must have written the CAT, GMAT, XAT or MAT examinations. The scores obtained in these exams must be submitted for the student to be considered.
 
8. What is the standard set by the NMS for placements?

The kind of involvement of our CXO Panel with the school will enable them to identify the quality of our students and hence the placements become a natural process.

We are also focusing on companies with good career options rather than only on salaries.
 
9. In what way is The National Management School different from other business schools?

10. Is there any sponsorship for this program?

There is no official sponsorship for the program. However, the school offers financial assistance for deserving students, which is in the form of an educational loan repayment guarantee. See the Financial Assistance link for details.
 
11. What made you start The National Management School?

We wanted to create global leaders with a focus on academic rigor, which we have found is generally lacking in schools in India.
 
12. How about placement?

NMS offers 100 % placement assistance to all its students by bringing industry and students together for a suitable career. Our CXO Panel comprises of leaders from the industry who will be visiting the schools throughout the year. Our students will have a great opportunity to interact with prominent members of the industry. Therefore the placement opportunities for ourstudents will be high, through the placement program and committee constituted by the students.

 
13. Do you have branches elsewhere?

Currently, the school is located only in Chennai. New branches will be opened in the future in other cities.

 
14. What are the working hours?

For the regular day time programs, classes will be held on all the week days between 9 am and 6 pm.
For the part-time weekend programs, classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, between 10 am and 6 pm.
 
15. Is there an internship where you can send students abroad? Do you have foreign internships?

At this time, any foreign internship depends on foreign companies offering such internships. Our student services office will endeavour to get such internships.
 
16. What are the future prospects for your students?

The school offers teaching, mentoring and interaction with world-class faculty and industry experts. The students are mentored to become good leaders in their chosen areas. Students have the option to pursue a career in the industry, or to be entrepreneurs, or to pursue doctoral studies. The school program builds a student to work in the industry or to be academia.
 
17. What entrance exams will be the qualifying criteria?

The qualifying entrance exams are CAT, GMAT, XAT and MAT.

 
18. Is infrastructure in place?

Our school campus is situated in the IT Corridor of Chennai in very close proximity to almost all the top companies of the world. The school occupies 20,000 sq.ft. in one complete floor, in a 450,000 sq.ft. three-block 17 floor complex. Please see our campus in our video gallery. The campus has a 3 Mbps internet line with a complete secure wi-fi access. Our library is one of the best in the city currently; our class rooms are spacious and offer a wonderful environment for learning.

19. Is this a degree program, certificate program or a diploma program?

The PGDM program offered at The National Management School is a certificate program. It is not a degree program.
 
20. Does the country study mean a visit to the countries that are being studied?

No. We will bring Country experts.
 
21. Is there distance education?

There is no distance education or correspondence course offered by the school currently.
 
22. What is the Stepping Stone Program?

The Stepping Stone Program is a pre-doctoral program offered to potential doctoral candidates, so they can work with the international visiting faculty, assisting them with their research. This program will help candidates to understand what it takes to do an international Ph.D.
 
23. When does the course start?

The PGDM program offered starts in June of every year.Please check individual program dates for the actual start date of the program.
 
24. What are the locations of the school?

Right now only in Chennai but later on in other Metros.
 
25. How can I judge my eligibility?

If you have a good academic record, if you have high scores in the entrance exams, if your background has a mixture of curricular and extra-curricular activities, and if you have shown a propensity for leadership, then you are an ideal candidate for our program.
